Paul ranches on Brown's Ranch, which he purchased from his parents, Gabe and Shelly, in 2017. The land was purchased by his grandparents in 1956, and his parents purchased the land and took over the operation in 1991. After graduating from college, Paul returned to work on the ranch.

The 5,000-acre ranch has 300 cow/calf pairs. Paul added livestock diversity to the Brown’s Ranch operation, which now includes poultry, pastured pigs, sheep, cattle, and 300 to 500 stocker and grass finishers. The ranch uses direct marketing of its meat products throughout the state through its business, Nourished by Nature. The ranch operates on a daily rotation and has also added mob grazing as a tool to regenerate landscapes. Mob grazing various cover crops has been beneficial to enhance soil health. The diversity of plants, birds, insects and wildlife has increased dramatically since managing the ranch holistically. Paul is also knowledgeable in multi-species grazing.
