Rob Kramer purchased his ranch near Denbigh in 1987 at the age of 22 and built his current ranching operation from scratch. He now runs a small cow-calf operation with around 100 cows and 50 yearling, and also has 190 sheep.

His holistic management focuses include high density grazing with cattle and sheep, bale grazing, windrow grazing, seeding legumes in tame grass pastures, reducing bluegrass to allow native plants to grow from the seed bank, using sheep to manage leafy spurge, and not calving livestock until May. He is experienced in sheep management and has also worked extensively with electric fencing. Rob says he is focused on trying to improve his operation while operating with minimal inputs.  Rob Kramer purchased his ranch near Denbigh in 1987 at the age of 22 and built his current ranching operation from scratch.
